No, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke. I think we have already established that April 1 is most likely the only day out of the year when I am NOT a jokester – in effect, making the fact that I am not being my normal wiseass self the joke.
Now, on with the point behind this post…
After almost 20 years as a freak flag flyin’ hippie, it’s time for the hair to go. Yeah… Hair today, goon tomorrow… Or, like Timbuk 3 says:
“…They’ve done lots of research
It may be just hype, but the latest findings cause me to tremble
They’ve categorized us into three basic types,
by which of the three stooges we most closely resemble.”
So, here’s the deal…
In the comments section of this blog post, leave your suggestions for my new hairstyle. I will be having this done the weekend of the 11th. In fact, most likely on the 11th proper.
However, before leaving your suggestions read the following disclaimer:
CONTEST RULES

- There are no prizes whatsoever. If your suggestion is picked, you win absolutely nothing. Nada. Not a thing. Zero. Zilch. Void. Ad nauseum…
- Suggestions will be treated as suggestions. Look it up if that doesn’t make sense. Suggestions may or may not be followed.
- E K owns me, lock stock and barrel. She has a collar with tags to prove it. Sometimes she even makes me wear it
. Therefore, as she has not relinquished ownership, The Evil Redhead has final say on all suggestions, and as noted in #3, may well ignore all of them. You know how she is…
And, yeah… I’ll post pictures of the new “do” after it happens. As a matter of fact, I’m due for a new press kit photo as it is, so that will be the perfect time to make one happen.

omg not cutting the hair!?!? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
k, that said, my suggestion would be more of a what NOT to do…please, no buzzcut. nothing shaved. every guy in my family has either the totally shaved look, or the quarter-inch-all-over look. it’s apparently popular, but not at all flattering on most people.
there’s many styles that look good and are easy to care for without cutting it ALL off.

No comb overs! FOr what ever reason, the barber always tries to give hubby a comb over. He doesn’t mind the “Clearing”that is happening on his head. He tells folks that his hair has the decency to fall out before it turns gray. His mustashe and goatee on the other hand…..
I’m sure what ever EK decides will be fine.

It must be old age creeping up on you. I would make a bet with you about cutting pony tails but you beat me to the punch getting yours cut. All I can say is, let it grow, let it grow, let it grow. Can’t wait to see it if you go thru with the cut.

The grey on the top is starting to catch up with the grey/white in the beard all of a sudden. Time for me to look like a grownup.

I don’t think I have quite enough to do the LoL thing… My hair starts splitting really badly before it every gets long enough for that… And, since the ends are pretty damaged at this point, I don’t think they’d want it… However, I will definitely be asking, just in case.

My mother’s a hairstylist, so I’m partially qualified to answer this question, I think…If you’re going to cut your hair, make sure it’s a style that frames your face and makes it look a little longer. Don’t dye it, though…

Okay, since this “may” be a mid life crisis, then lets look at all the facts. Your hair is long, your face is round, and EK has the final decision. I like that she will decide, so you can’t blame any of us…..lol…..however, I think you shouldn’t cut it too short. It’s not just the grown up look that scares me, it’s the fact you may look grown up. Since we know you won’t be grown up, or act grown up, then I guess that won’t matter. Anyway……what was the question??? Oh yeah, just not too short, ok??

You may not have enough to donate to LOL but, my sister found a place online that would take less. You can try that route. I donated about 12 inches to LOL in December. I feel much lighter! I am also pleased I could help out someone who can’t grow their own.
