This took place the first February I worked for the new company – on February 20th, in fact, as noted in the caption. On that day the staff of the new workplace surprised me with a mess of off-key singing and morning donuts.
For those of you who may not have caught on, today is my birthday. Back then I was turning 34. Today, I’m not. Believe me, I’d like to be turning 34 – as long as I could know what I now know. Know what I mean, ya’ know? Unfortunately, Merp still hasn’t perfected the Wayback Machine – except on paper and dry erase board of course.

Sugar, since we became friends, my life has had so much more sparkle and so many more smiles in it. I’m blessed to count you as true family of the heart. We may not get to hang out as much as we’d like, but Mike and I think of you CONSTANTLY, and it’s always with a laugh and a smile.
